WHAT THE HECKIN HECK IS HONEST STORIES? & WHY DOES THAT MATTER?

Pull up a seat and take a minute to hear what i have to say....

Honest moments like when its really windy outside and your wedding tribe helps you pick up your dress and walk towards the chapel.

The moments when your nose is all scrunched up and you laugh while snorting because your partner is just that funny.

The ones when no one is looking and you place your hand on the back of your partner to pull them in for a kiss... those kind of honest moments.

Sure there will be the few images for your parents with you looking at the camera so they can put on the fridge or their coffee table with pride....

BUT if you crave more from your images that share the soft, pure candid quirky moments with some grit and grain and you want to look back at your images without regret,  you are in the right place.

THE WEDDING INDUSTRY IS FAKE. BUT your story is real. They do not have enough REAL couples, DIVERSITY or even EQUALITY that represents people like you and me.

So in the last few years I have been on the hunt to show up unapologetically as real as possible, to advocate and speak up for the couples who don't care about the fake wedding industry standards that have been placed on most couples when they start the journey of wedding planning and the search for a photographer for their wedding day and most importantly the LGBTQIA+ couples that feel it's hard to find a photographer who really believes their love deserves to exist rather than looking at you like a dollar sign.

Let me put your mind at ease: Im a Queer wedding photographer, I get you & you are safe, seen and heard here.

So why not hire some one who just gets it?

Hiring me to document your day will be one of the best decisions  you make because I wont be there checking my watch but I'll be making sure your experience is something you wont find anywhere else while I take care of you unlike any other vendor you hire.

If you are still reading this, you most likely are feeling the energy and the pull for something more when it comes to hiring a photographer, so keep reading....

I have arrived to a decade plus of documenting weddings, elopements, maternity, family and there is nothing that compares to telling honest stories.

My story

Get to know me quiz style!

My momma always had a camera in her hands when I was little.

I loved seeing the photos of my family she photographed.

I cherish those images today, especially now that a lot of those family members are no longer with us.

I started my photo journey early running around with a bunch of film and disposable cameras, working odd jobs to pay for the film to get developed by knocking on neighbors doors and asking if I could do any job for them, mow the yard, take the trash out, wash the dishes or walk their dogs.

I went on into high school and joined yearbook club and would help create the spreads my graduating class would look back on years later today.

I was always afraid of missing something but with photography, I feel like the little me conquered that fear ever since I picked up a camera and started documenting everything I could.

I've found that photos have greater meaning: a legacy.

And I hope I get to help tell yours...chapter by chapter.

Every time I have my polaroid out to take pics people act like their inner child and get silly and its literally my favorite to see my couples come alive or out of their shell when they get to use the polaroid in their session. I take these and I scan them and will put them in your online gallery so that you have a digital copy and then i will mail you or meet up with ya to hand you the hard copies, easy peasy.

My very first love of photography stems from 35mm film. As simple as it is, it is what started my journey of honest moments and real people... unedited or photoshopped in their imperfect skin. I prefer black and white film, the soft romantic shadows and grain makes my heart so happy. BUTTTT I also love color because well its needed for the memories. Once I get the scans back I will put the digital scans into your online gallery with your digital images.
